There is an opportunity to participate as a volunteer in everyday activities at Motelo Ananda or in “Acelpa, the El Puente de la Amistad” association, the first biodynamic pilot project in the rainforest, or our new project, “Puevid, el Puente para la Vida,” and contribute.
Conservation at Motelo Ananda
For Rainforest Protection
“El Puente de la Amistad” is the non-profit association project founded by us, known as Acelpa. The association cares for and protects over 1800 hectares of forest, consisting of both primary and previously cultivated land with natural regeneration. Two hectares of land are now used for biodynamically produced food. This agricultural process aims to show farmers alternatives to the strong lobby of chemical fertilizer propaganda. Here, they learn to combat pests with old traditional methods, while experienced farmers from around the world provide their knowledge.
1800 hectares are protected and reforested with trees that are endangered. Valuable seed areas deep in the forests are protected and reforested. Due to the continually declining fish stocks, Acelpa saw the need to create a fish pond.
A stay allows you to gain insight into the project. The staff are ready to experiment with creative impulses and ideas and learn new things from other people. This creates a situation of intercultural giving and taking for a common cause, the protection of the Earth.
Similarly, Puevid, El Puente para la Vida, is a project providing self-help assistance, focusing on sustainable tourism, agricultural self-help projects, sustainable energy, medicine, art, and traditions. Through Puevid, people in the village have the opportunity to value their culture.
Together with Ruth Delgado Faustino, the project leader and coordinator of Puevid, you can plan your desired stay with Acelpa or Puevid. You can work in the field, in the kitchen, participate in everyday tasks, be part of logistical processes, accompany administrative tasks and visits, attend meetings, and meet people who, like you, are dedicated to the rainforest and fundraising.
Self-cost: Accommodation and meals: €40/day
